Authorized under the Georgia Peace Officers’ Standards and Training Act, The Marietta Fire Department, and specifically the Fire Marshal’s Office (FMO) is a statutorily mandated Fire Marshal’s Office and specialized law enforcement agency that provides essential public safety services. The FMO relies on a customer first operational philosophy to achieve agency goals and balance community risks regarding fire/life safety and emergency response within the 25 square miles of Marietta and 70,000 population while encouraging a strong and sustainable economy.
