Requests for inspection must be entered before 4 PM to receive an inspection the next business day (subject to staffing). A contractor may request up to five inspections in one day. When scheduling, please enter an on site contact, contact number and any other helpful information. An inspector will send a notification through the system of their estimated time to arrival when they are on the way to your job site. If at any time a scheduled inspection needs to be re-scheduled by Marietta Fire, a representative will make contact with you.
Inspections will not be performed on city holidays. Please check the City of Marietta Holiday Schedule here to ensure the day you are requesting is not a city holiday.
For Fire Protection and Life Safety Systems - Each contractor is responsible for inspections on his/her system construction permit, which will be unique from the BLDG permit. Yours will begin with FIRE, please have this number available when discussing your project.
Beginning, May 1, 2021, Inspectors will not accept hard copies of close-out documentation. All close-out documentation must be uploaded to the project's file in SagesGov. Look for a file request after your 80% inspection for required close-out tests, certificates, and other documentation.
Do you have a Building or Fire Protection System permit number?
If your project was permitted after January 2, 2020, schedule your inspections using Sages Gov by logging in and selecting your project.
