WHY JOIN THE MARIETTA POLICE DEPARTMENT
The Marietta Police Department (MPD) is made up of (193) staff including (139) full time, and (3) part time officers. Covering over (23) square miles and 60,000 residents, MPD serves 16,000 residential, and 8,000 business addresses. MPD is committed to stay vigilant in both serving and protecting our community as well as those who pass through our fine city. Our employees are treated equally with respect, honor, and integrity in accordance with our Core Values. We constantly work to foster a particular culture within our employees that will develop personal and professional growth and achievement in each individual.
MPD gained national accreditation through the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA) since 1998, and state certification through the Georgia Association of Chiefs of Police (GACP) since 2011.
