Back by Popular Demand: Marietta PAL’s Theater Program Returns

MARIETTA, GA - The Marietta Police Athletic League (PAL), in partnership with Young Voices United, is thrilled to announce the second year of its high-energy Theater Program for youth ages 11–17—only $100 per student per semester (August–December) and (January–May). Classes meet Mondays & Wednesdays, 6:00–8:00 PM, beginning Monday, August 25, 2025.

Building on last year’s success, students will dive into acting, monologues, improvisation, stage presence, theater terms, and theater etiquette—growing confidence, creativity, and communication skills in a supportive, performance-focused environment.

• Partner: Young Voices United

• Schedule: Mondays & Wednesdays, 6:00–8:00 PM

• Tuition: $100 for the Fall semester (Aug–Dec)

• Location: Hugh L. Grogan Jr. Community Center, 510 Lawrence St., Marietta

• Scholarships: Limited scholarships available, contact us at dbadio@mariettaga.gov for scholarship information.

• Afterschool (K–12): Mon–Fri, 3:00–6:00 PM (homework help, sports & fitness; limited transportation from select Marietta City Schools)

• Dance (Ages 5–17) with Divine Dance Studio: Mon, Wed. & Fri., 6:00–8:00 PM

• Martial Arts (Ages 5–17) with Sensei Don Bourgeois: Tue & Thu, 5:30–8:00 PM (uniform/equipment additional)

• Boxing (Ages 11–17) with Herbert Van Dorn (USA Boxing Referee): Tue & Thu, 6:00–8:00 PM (medical eval & USA Boxing registration required)

• Baseball Clinics (Ages 6–12): Fridays, 6:00–7:30pm at Larry Bell Park (592 Fairground St SE)
