Citizens' Police Academy

Experience life behind the badge with Citizens' Police Academy!

The Marietta Police Department offers citizens the chance to experience what it's like to be a police officer through its Citizens' Police Academy. The Academy is a 11-week program that meets once a week for 3 hours.

How to Apply

The Academy is open to the public pending a background check. Applications are available at the front desk of the Marietta Police Department at 240 Lemon Street.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must live in the city limits or business owner in the city
  • Minimum age of 18
  • Must pass criminal history check
  • Must complete an application and be approved
