Tenant Move-In Permits

Tenant Move-In/Certificate of Occupancy

If your business license application requires a new Certificate of Occupancy for the location, please click HERE for instructions to obtain a Tenant Move-In Permit

  • Please contact the GIS Team at 770-794-5550 with any address related questions. Addresses created or changed outside of the GIS team's processing procedures will not exist in the system and could cause locating issues for City services such as sanitation, utilities, and emergency response.
  • SagesGov will email a link to print the CO to the Permit Holder within 24-48 hours after all appropriate final inspections are completed. No call or email is necessary to our office unless you do not receive a link from Sages after 48 hours.
  • Tenant Move-In Permits expire after 30 days. If an extension is needed, you must request in writing to the Project Coordinator (listed on your Sages application) prior to permit expiration and provide justification for the extension.
  • Both Fire and Building inspections can be scheduled for the same day if desired. Inspections scheduled prior to 4:00pm can be performed the next business day. Note the Building inspection cannot be approved unless the Fire inspection is approved.
  • Please provide a two-hour window in the Location Notes of the scheduled inspection to indicate when premises will be open and available for inspection.
