UPDATES:
1/22 5:00PM:
Current projections are showing a substantial chance of ice accumulation that could cause limbs or power lines to fall. We are currently monitoring the status of the storm and making preparations to ensure we are ready for a possible widespread outage event this Saturday.
Check out our guide to prepare for an outage.
1/24 7:00PM:
All Marietta and Mutual Aid crews are on site standing by in preparation for any possible outages caused by Winter Storm Fern.
1/25 9:00AM:
All crews are available for deployment as the first outages start to roll in. As of now there are only a few small outages.
1/25 11:30AM:
More severe outages are occurring at Marietta and throughout the state. There are currently just over 1000 customers without power, but crews are responding to all active outages. There is still a high likelihood of additional outages as another line of storms roll through this afternoon, but we remain prepared.
1/25 3:30PM:
There are only a couple small outages left and the worst of the storm has passed. Crews will be standing by overnight in the event that the refreeze has any additional impact, and once it is certain that there is no further risk of major outages, a number of Marietta Crews will go on to help more severely impacted communities.
