Office of the City Manager
The City Manager's Office oversees the daily operation of city government, some of the additional duties of the City Manager are as follows:
Communicates with Mayor, Council, citizens, employees and press
Manages all city departments and the employees of the City of Marietta and the Board of Lights and Water
Responds to citizens regarding their complaints, problems and inquiries
Prepares agendas for committee and Council meetings
Presents a balanced budget to Council each year
Manages the budget and expenditures during the fiscal year
Forwards plans and recommendations to Mayor and Council for action
Responsible for the implementation of decisions made by the Mayor and Council
