Office of the City Manager

The City Manager's Office oversees the daily operation of city government, some of the additional duties of the City Manager are as follows:

  • Communicates with Mayor, Council, citizens, employees and press
  • Manages all city departments and the employees of the City of Marietta and the Board of Lights and Water
  • Responds to citizens regarding their complaints, problems and inquiries
  • Prepares agendas for committee and Council meetings
  • Presents a balanced budget to Council each year
  • Manages the budget and expenditures during the fiscal year
  • Forwards plans and recommendations to Mayor and Council for action
  • Responsible for the implementation of decisions made by the Mayor and Council
