Site Development
It is the City's responsibility to review and approve site plans to verify they meet the requirements of the City code. Once development begins, the City performs site inspections to ensure that construction is following the approved plans and that the site is in compliance with all applicable ordinances and laws.
Please use the link below for more information and to learn how to submit your plans online. Our staff will be happy to assist you with any questions you may have regarding this new system. Please contact our Permit Technicians or plan review staff for more information.

The following permits are maintained by the Engineering Division:
Plans are reviewed by the Public Works Department, Planning and Zoning Department, Marietta Board of Lights and Water and the Marietta Fire Department. They are also supplied to the GIS division and Marietta Power for informational purposes. In the Public Works Department the plans are reviewed by the civil engineer and approved by the city engineer.
Please allow 14 days from submittal for review before inquiring on review status. This will expedite the review process, allowing the City to better serve you.
The Civil Engineer Technician performs site inspections and conducts pre-construction meetings. The Civil Engineer Technician is in the office 7:00 - 8:30 a.m., 1 - 1:30 p.m., and 3:30 - 4 p.m.
