2. How much does a business license cost?

The cost for a general business license is based on annual gross receipts or the number of employees calculation, whichever is greater. For example, if your annual gross receipts are less than $100,000 and you do not have employees, the cost would range from $84 to $95 based on the tax classification of your business. For the cost of other licenses, please review the Applications and Forms

3. What is the status of my application?

All new applications have to be reviewed and approved by the following departments: Business License, Fire, Planning and Zoning, and Building Permits. In addition, applications for alcoholic beverage licenses, privileged licenses, pawn shop licenses, transient vendor/temporary business licenses, mobile retail food establishment licenses and massage practitioner licenses are subject to a background check by the Marietta Police Department.

4. Is online payment with credit or debit card available and can I submit application on-line?

License renewal payments only are available online via e-check.  Credit and debit card payments are not accepted at this time.  New application payments must be mailed or received in-person.

5. How do I resolve a Comcast billing question or service-related question?

Contact Comcast directly at 404-266-2278. If you have already contacted Comcast and you still have a billing question or service-related problem, please complete a Cable TV Complaint Form, which will be forwarded to a Comcast customer service representative to resolve the issue.

6. What is the latest date I can renew my business license?

March 31st of the current year.
