What is the latest time to pay for reconnection of service due to non-payment?: Our drive-through window is open until 6:00 p.m. and our cashier can accept the total amount due with the associated reconnection fees and have the service reconnected the same day.

1. When will my service be disconnected if I do not make a payment?: If your current statement includes a balance due from the previous month, your account is considered as past due and will be subject to disconnection. The statement will include the date the service will be subject to disconnection.

2. What are the fees associated with reconnection of service due to non-payment?: Disconnection/notification fee: $25.00
Reconnection before 5:00 p.m.: $25.00
Additional deposit: $50.00
After hours reconnection (5:00-6:00 pm): $40.00
When service is disconnected for non-payment and payment is not received within 10 days, the account will be terminated and sent through our collections process. To re-establish an account after termination for non-payment, please contact our Billing Department by phone at 770-794-5150 or come to our office at 675 North Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA during normal business hours (8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday).

3. Do I have to be at home for reconnection of service?: In most cases, meters are located outside so it is not required that someone is at the location for a reconnection. If the meter is inaccessible, you will need to allow access to the meter.

4. What is text notification?: You can opt to receive text notifications when your service is due to be disconnected for non-payment. To set up text notifications, call 770-794-5150 and select the prompt to sign up. You will need your Marietta Power and Water account number, your cell phone number and your cell phone provider.

5. What is a payment agreement and how do I apply?: If you current charges include a balance forward from the previous month and you are unable to pay the balance forward by the due date, you may be eligible for a payment agreement. To set up a payment agreement, call us at 770-794-5150 and select the appropriate prompt. You will be required to pay one-third of the total amount due and the remaining balance will be due within two weeks.

6. Can I make a payment agreement after the service is disconnected for non-payment?: Once service has been disconnected for non-payment, the total amount due including the associated fees is required to restore service.
