The stream on my property is causing erosion in my yard. How can the City help me?
An inspector will happily come out to investigate the situation, however, most times it will be the responsibility of the homeowner to resolve the issue. The City is only responsible for drainage issues on the public right-of-way, although there is a program in place to help share the cost of issues involving human health and safety. For more information on homeowner's responsibilities, please see

I have my LDA permit... What's my next step?
After you have picked up your LDA permit, you need to contact the City's Erosion Control Inspector to schedule a pre-construction meeting. You may not begin construction until this meeting has taken place.

My neighbor is blowing his grass clippings down the storm drain. What are my options for dealing with this?
If you see a citizen washing or blowing anything down the storm drain, you can contact the City using our Citizen Request page. The stormwater technician will respond to the report, providing education and outreach in an attempt to resolve the issue.
