Marietta – In June of 1997, Muggles were introduced to the Wizarding World of J.K. Rowling for the very first time. The Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art is transforming their galleries into the halls of Hogwarts for two fantastic immersive events, where fans of all ages can celebrate twenty years of magic in style.
On June 24, 2017 from 5:30pm to 8:30pm, MCMA will host a Hogwarts Alumni Reunion. Adult fans ages 18 and older will enjoy a feast in the Great Hall with a live DJ and magical drinks. There will be a costume contest and a scavenger hunt featuring the Maurader’s Map. Divination sessions with a professional palm reader will be available for an additional fee. Each attendee will receive a free souvenir pint glass at the event. The fee to attend is $35.00, and attendance is limited to 300 guests.
Pre-registration is required for both of these events. Fans who would like to help make the magic happen are also encouraged to volunteer with preparations. Interested parties can contact Allison Frink, the Director of Education, at 770-528-1444 x16 or mcma.education@gmail.com.
