MARIETTA - The City of Marietta is offering free Christmas tree pick up service to its customers on Wednesday, January 11th. Residents must have their Christmas tree -- free of decorations, lights, stands, tinsel and nails -- curbside by 7 a.m. to be picked up.
The City's Environmental Services Division will begin picking up trees January 11th, 2017, with resident's regular Wednesday vegetative waste pickup. Residents who are waiting for Environmental Services Division to pick up trees should have them curbside by Wednesday, January 11th at 7 a.m. Artificial trees will be picked up on the customer's last pick-up day of the week with regular household garbage.
Residents can also bring their live trees to Marietta Power and Water complex, 675 North Marietta Pkwy. Trees that are picked up will be recycled into mulch, which will be available for free to residents at the Marietta Power and Water complex.
