MARIETTA – On Friday, December 5th the Marietta Fire Department held a Graduation & Awards Ceremony at City Hall to congratulate both the recruits who made it through the training process and to honor the exceptional work its firefighters provide to the City.
The following awards were given to recognize outstanding personnel within the Fire Department:
- Young Firefighter of the Year: Firefighter Jeremy Pannell
- Firefighter of the Year: Firefighter Travis Henderson
- Firefighter Engineer of the Year: Firefighter Engineer Chuck Mindel
- Fire Officer of the Year: Lieutenant Jeff Guest
- Aurora Award (Given to recognize a Family Member): Maggi Moss, wife of Lt. Bobby Moss and Recreation Supervisor with Marietta's Parks, Recreation and Facilities Department
- Mayor's Proclamation given to the C-Shift to recognize their hard work and determination to get the AMREP Chemical Fire under control and protect the citizens and wildlife in the surrounding areas. (AMREP Chemical Fire – May 23rd, 2014)
