MARIETTA – The City of Marietta is proud to announce that Jeff Duckett has earned the International Code Council’s Master Code Professional (MCP) designation, the highest level of Code Council certification and the “gold standard” for demonstrating proficiency in the code profession. Mr. Duckett joins an elite group of Master Code Professionals worldwide whose achievements continue to benefit both the code enforcement profession, as well as their communities.
To earn the Code Council MCP designation, a candidate must first pass 10 core ICC exams plus several elective Code Council exams. Typical Master Code Professionals hold 17 or more Code Council certifications. The Master Code Professional designation requires certified individuals to complete an additional 60 hours of Continuing Education Units every three years to maintain active status.
“I am so proud that Jeff has worked tirelessly to obtain his ICC Master Code Professional Certification,” said Public Works Director Mark Rice. “He is only the second employee at the City of Marietta to receive this level of training. Not only will this designation help his career path, it will also benefit the City and our residents. Join me in congratulating Jeff for all the hard work he has put into receiving his certification.”
