MARIETTA - The Marietta Police Department (MPD), Cobb County Police Department (CCPD) and the Cobb County Safety Village (CCSV) are excited to announce the second annual Rad Kids Summer Camp.  All three agencies are dedicated to protecting our citizens in every way possible and are always looking for ways to educate and protect our youth.  To that end, the MPD, CCPD, and the CCSV are involved in protecting children through a program called Radkids.

Radkids is a safety education program that emphasizes personal empowerment. The camp is designed for children between the ages of 5 and 12 years old.  Topics covered include how to prevent bullying, how to stay safe while on the internet, at home, at school, in a vehicle, and outdoors.  In addition to these issues, we will discuss the many tricks used by child predators and the physical resistance strategies that kids can use to thwart these possible child abduction attempts.

The camp will take place July 18-21 at the Cobb County Safety Village from 9am to 4pm. The cost for the camp is $85. The camp will be divided into two groups, five to seven year-olds and eight to twelve year-olds. If you would like to register your children, please visit the following sites.

5-7 year-old camp registration: https://5-7yearolds2022.eventbrite.com

8-12 year-old camp registration: https://8-12yearolds2022.eventbrite.com

If you have any questions regarding the Radkids Camp, please contact Officer Paul Hill via email at: phill@mariettaga.gov.
