MARIETTA – On Thursday, July 2, 2020 Mayor Steve Tumlin, State Representative Bert Reeves, and representatives from Cobb County will hold a virtual event to honor and recognize local citizens for their contributions to our community at 12pm at The Strand Theatre located at 117 N Park Square, Marietta, GA 30060.
Georgia’s Agriculture Commissioner, Gary Black, will recognize Cobb County Commissioner Keli Gambrill, Sheriff Neil Warren, and Cobb Chamber President & CEO Sharon Mason and other Cobb County leaders for their hard work and dedication in helping to organize and execute the Cobb for Georgia Grown to Go event.
Mayor Steve Tumlin will present a proclamation to honor the Marietta Square Farmers Market and honor and recognize the winners of his Most Patriotic Home, Business, Neighborhood, and Pet contest.
Mayor Tumlin and the City will honor World War II Veteran SSGT Emanuel L Wilson for recently turning 102 years old and for his service, dedication, and duty to our country.
Mayor Tumlin will then be joined by State Representative Bert Reeves, Marietta Superintendent Grant Rivera, Marietta High Football Coach Richard Morgan for the presentation of the Georgia House of Representatives Resolution honoring the Marietta High School Football team’s 2019 State Championship on the stage in Glover Park on the Marietta Square.
