MARIETTA – The Marietta Fire Department would like to remind the citizens of Marietta that September is National Preparedness Month.
The theme this year is “Prepared, Not Scared.” There will be a different focus for each week. The Marietta Fire Department asks you to take the time to look at each one of these and prepare accordingly within your own personal lives. Plan how to stay safe and communicate during the disasters that can affect your community.
Each week this month has a different theme:
Week 1: Sept 1-7th Save Early for Disaster Costs
Week 2: Sept 8-14th Make a Plan to Prepare for Disasters
Week 3: Sept 15-21nd Teach Youth to Prepare for Disasters
Week 4: Sept 22-30th Get Involved in Your Community’s Preparedness
Follow the City of Marietta on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to get helpful tips relating to each theme throughout the month of September from the Marietta Fire Department.
