MARIETTA — Taste the flavors of Cobb County at this year’s annual Taste of Marietta, one of the largest and tastiest food festivals in Georgia, on Sunday, April 28.
Join more than 70 restaurants on the Marietta Square from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Free admission into the event allows visitors to purchase as many “tastes” as they desire, all for $1 to $5 each. Festival-goers can anticipate a variety of restaurants and food trucks. Beer and wine will also be available for sale throughout the festival.
The exciting new addition to this year’s festival will feature a Chef Spotlight Stage with cooking demonstrations from local renown chefs. Chefs include: El Super Pan’s Hector Santiago who also had a spot on Bravo’s Emmy-winning show, “Top Chef Las Vegas,” Porch Light Latin Kitchen’s Andre Gomez, Piastra’s Greg Lipman, and Taqueria Tsunami’s Jaime Vicente.
In addition to the cooking demonstrations and delicious food from restaurants, the family-friendly festival will feature a Kids Alley to keep the little ones entertained.
“Taste of Marietta is the city’s culinary experience of the year, allowing our guests to taste dishes from the best chefs and food artisans in the area,” said Marietta Visitors Bureau Executive Director Amanda Sutter. “We are delighted to showcase our first Chef Spotlight Stage showcasing a few of Marietta’s popular chefs.”
As the festival has gained popularity throughout the years, the 26th Taste of Marietta plans to around 70,000 visitors and expects the number to increase if weather-permits.
Musical entertainment can be heard throughout the festival from the Cobb Life Stage and the Main Band Stand in Glover Park. The day will conclude with the Featured Concerts from Georgia’s own country artist, Zach Seabaugh. To close out the day Coast Guard will bring classic pop hits of the 60s through today. Featured concert tables for may be purchased online or the day of the festival.
