MARIETTA - Sam Skelton and the GSO Jazz! will return to the Strand Theatre on the Marietta Square to present “Big Band Dan!” at 8 p.m. on September 29th. Always a great favorite, this toe-tapping Big Band night will feature the music of Grammy Award winning Rock & Roll Hall of Fame icon Steely Dan.
The September 29th performance will present the GSO Jazz! big band, which is known for playing jazz standards, swing, and contemporary compositions. Bandleader and saxophonist Sam Skelton has recorded with Elton John, Matchbox 20, Train, and The Ohio Players, among others. GSO Jazz! is part of the Georgia Symphony Orchestra organization.
The Strand Theatre is located at 117 North Park Square on the Marietta Square. Tickets are $28 for adults, and $10 for students.
