MARIETTA – The Marietta Fire Department would like to remind the citizens of Marietta that September is National Preparedness Month.
The theme this year is “Disasters Happen. Prepare Now. Learn How.” There will be a different focus for each week. The Marietta Fire Department asks you to take note of each theme and to try and take the time to ensure that you have looked at each one of these and prepared accordingly within your own personal lives. Plan how to stay safe and communicate during the disasters that can affect your community.
Each week this month has a different theme:
Week 1: Sept 1-8th Make and Practice Your Plan
Week 2: Sept 9-15th* Learn Life Saving Skills
Week 3: Sept 16-22nd Check Your Coverage
Week 4: Sept 23-29th Save For an Emergency
*September 15 is a National Day of Action
Follow the City of Marietta on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to get helpful tips relating to each theme throughout the month of September from the Marietta Fire Department.
