MARIETTA – The Marietta Police Athletic League is pleased to announce that registration for their FREE After School Program will occur on Monday, August 6th and Tuesday, August 7th.
Through this PAL Program, youth ages 5-17 years old can enjoy sports and recreation programs Monday through Friday from 3pm-6pm at the Lawrence Street Recreation Center.
Also available are PAL Afterhours Sports Programs. As part of this program, youth may participate in one activity or all of the following sports for one flat rate of just $50 per child per semester (Free participation available for “Income Eligible” see below for more information). These current program choices include:
• Basketball skill building - ages 5-17 (Mon & Wed: 6-8pm)
• Boxing Classes - ages 12-17 (Tu & Th: 6-8pm)
• Martial Arts Classes – ages 6-16 (Tu & Th: 6-8pm)
Registration begins Monday, August 6th and Tuesday, August 7th from 4-6pm at the Lawrence Street Recreation Center located at 510 Lawrence Street, Marietta, GA with the After School Program & Basketball classes starting Wednesday, August 8th and the Boxing & Martial Arts Classes start Thursday, August 9th.
Limited TRANSPORTATION IS AVAILABLE from Sawyer Rd & Park Street Elementary Schools for a weekly fee.
TO APPLY FOR PAL’s FREE AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM for “INCOME ELIGIBLE” PARTICIPANTS
Please bring the following items to registration for eligibility verification:
Proof of Marietta address; Verification of 3 months of all household income (including government assistance); Copy of photo IDs for all adult household members & social security cards for ALL household members.
