MARIETTA – The Earl and Rachel Smith Strand Theatre is pleased to share the schedule for all July shows and events. For all shows tickets are available at www.earlsmithstrand.org or at the box office at 770.293.0080 and 117 North Park Square. The box office is open 11am-6pm Monday through Friday, Saturdays from 9am-12pm, and two hours before showtime.

WHAT: Performing arts day camp

INFO: This summer, students will once again enjoy a unique “strand” of summer camp called PERFORMULA. In the Earl and Rachel Smith Strand Theatre’s popular musical theatre laboratory, young performers will focus entirely on music, dance, and drama, discovering the formulas for performing success! The week-long camp will yield a Friday performance on The Strand stage. Tuition price includes attendance to the Saturday performance and a Performula t-shirt. Ages: Morning session - rising 3rd through 5th; afternoon session - rising 6th through 8th.

INFO: Short Film – Good Bones (Georgia/Pennsylvania) – The old house he’s renovating may have “good bones” but there’s something much more mysterious hiding behind the walls than just studs and wires.
Short Film – The Hunt (North Carolina) – An art student has reason to believe that his Professor has lost his mind and is murdering his friends but when nobody believes him, he takes matters into his own hands.
Short Film – The Well (North Carolina) – Upon returning to her childhood home, a young woman faces a series of disturbing memories that threaten to drive her mad.
Feature Film – Restoration (North Carolina) – CK Erwin is a man who’s lost his family as well as his will to live. But when he takes a job as a mechanic at a small Auto Restoration Shop, he is soon involved with a new ragtag family who needs him every bit as much as he needs them – especially feisty Samantha “Sam” Collins, a high school wrestler who needs a private coach for her last shot at Finals this year.
The Marietta International Film Festival and the Earl and Rachel Smith Strand Theatre team up to bring a monthly screening of indie movies to the big screen. This short and feature-length indie film night will showcase works from all over the United States, as well as films from all over the world. Indie Night at The Strand is a great way for movie lovers to explore new films that they wouldn’t have the chance to see anywhere else and support their local theatre at the same time.
