MARIETTA - The Marietta City Council will consider the Fiscal Year (FY) 2019 budget at its regularly scheduled meeting on June 13, 2018 at 7pm in the City Hall Council Chambers. The budget recommended by City Manager Bill Bruton and Finance staff is a balanced budget and has no service reductions and no tax or fee increases.
The general fund budget funds general government services including police and fire services, parks and recreation programs, code enforcement, planning and development, and streets and public works maintenance. The City's millage rate that supports governmental services is currently 2.788 mills and is expected to remain the same.
The City’s overall FY 2019 budget is $ $317.7 million, which includes the $59.7 million for the general fund budget.
