MARIETTA - The Marietta Museum of History will be hosting its monthly Pop-In For Family Fun on Saturday May 19th from 10:30am-3:30pm. Pop-In’s provide children and their families the opportunity to interact with the Museum through themed activities and crafts. To follow along with common month-long observances, May’s Pop-In will be Historic Preservation! Historic Preservation Month aims to educate the public about the importance of protecting and caring for landmarks, buildings, and artifacts. The Museum is excited to host this Pop-In because not only do we preserve the artifacts and stories of Cobb County, but our museum is in a beautiful, antebellum building that we hope is preserved for generations. Join us to learn how museum professionals preserve their collections through hands-on activities and crafts.
Admission to the Museum during the Pop-In will be $5 per person with a family cap of $20!
The Marietta Museum of History uses ordinary objects to tell the extraordinary stories of Marietta and Cobb County. It is the top-rated museum and one of the top five things to do in Marietta on TripAdvisor. Galleries and exhibits cover topics such as military history, home life throughout the centuries, technology, and local businesses from our past. Current temporary exhibits include: Pinning From the Past: Scrapbooking Before the Internet and More than Planes: Aviation in Cobb County.
