MARIETTA - The Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art, located at 30 Atlanta Street, is set to host Martinis & Music on Friday, May 11th, 2018. It will begin at 5:30pm and run until 8:30 pm. The cost of admission will be ten dollars, with the exception of members who will enter for free.
The event will be hosting Bob Geresti on the keyboard and showcasing Dylan Pierce and Alfred Conteh. In addition, an art auction will be held to benefit Hickory Hills Elementary.
The event aims to create a fun and light atmosphere while enjoying American art and benefiting the local community. There will be a cash only bar with light hor d’oeuvres. The auction will be featuring original works from professional artist. These artists collaborated with students and teachers of the elementary to bring these pieces to life. Hickory Hills Art Auction will begin at the start of the event and close at 7:30pm. All of the proceeds from the auction will go directly to Hickory Hills Elementary to help benefit the needs of students.
The entertainer, Bob Geresti, has toured throughout the United States and his music is played throughout the world. He is, now, a solo performing artist in the Atlanta area. His album “Speak Softly To Me” is in the top 25 list of best sellers in the QRS Catalogue. He will be featuring songs from that album along with other favorites.
Dylan Pierce’s Legacy of Hope: Studies in Africa and Alfred Conteh’s Vision of a Cultural Commentator will be featured during Martinis & Music.
