Town Hall Meetings

Zone 1: Major Jake King will host a zone #1 Town Hall meeting at 6:30 PM on April 16th. The meeting will be held in the YELLS Club facility on Franklin Gateway. City Council members as well as representatives from other city departments are invited to attend to assist in answering any questions you may have. If you live in police zone #1 please mark you calendars and plan to attend on April 16th.

Rad Kids classes

The Marietta Police Department and the Cobb County Police Department are working together to teach the next Rad Kids class. The current class is scheduled for April. The class will meet every Tuesday for 5 weeks 5pm-7pm. The class will begin April 16th. The class will take place in the gym at West Side Elem in Marietta (344 Polk St. Marietta GA) 5pm-7pm. Openings are still available for this class, so reserve your spot now! The cost for this class is $10. Women's Self Defense classes

Women’s Self Defense Course for High School Seniors ONLY. Classes are being held at the Marietta Police Department on April 8th, 10th, 15th and 17th (6-9pm).

The Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D.) System is a 12-hour program of personal self-defense tactics and techniques taught by the Marietta Police Department. This women-only course is designed to be quick and effective in delivering pain to vulnerable locations of the attacker’s body. Participants must be a senior in high school for this specific course. Please, no jewelry is allowed during class and gym attire is recommended.

The cost for the R.A.D. class is $10. THESE COURSE DATES ARE ONLY OPEN TO HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS. Parents will need to attend the first hour to complete paperwork if student is under 18.
