MARIETTA - On Friday, February 23, 2018, the Marietta Museum of History continues its popular monthly program, the Remember When Club. The Club explores what life was like in Cobb County when Highway 41 was known as the 4-lane, everyday shopping was done on the Square and life was just a little bit simpler.
The Remember When Club discusses a different topic each month and it encourages the audience to participate by sharing their memories as well. This month, we will hear from those who grew up in Marietta’s public housing communities such as Clay Homes, Fort Hill, Lyman Homes and Marietta Place. Join us as they share warm memories of the close knit families who lived there in the 1940s through recent years.
This event is held the 4th Friday of every month through October in the first Floor Virginia Tumlin Room at 10:30am. If you have a topic that you think would be good for the club or know of a person who could speak on our upcoming topic(s), please contact Museum staff at 770-794-5710 or info@mariettahistory.org
