MARIETTA - The Marietta Museum of History will be hosting its monthly Pop-In event on Saturday, February 17th from 10:30am-3:30pm with the theme of Black History.
Pop-In’s provide children and their families the opportunity to interact with the Museum through themed activities and crafts. To follow along with common month-long observances, February’s Pop-In will focus on local black history. Come learn about significant black figures who helped shape the rich history of Marietta and its neighboring cities. Some topics we will delve into include music and education within Cobb County and as well as throughout the state of Georgia.
Admission to the Museum during the Pop-In will be $5 per person with a family cap of $20!
The Marietta Museum of History uses ordinary objects to tell the extraordinary stories of Marietta and Cobb County. It is the top-rated museum and one of the top five things to do in Marietta on TripAdvisor. Galleries and exhibits cover topics such as military history, home life throughout the centuries, technology, and local businesses from our past. Current temporary exhibits include: Shoppin’ Southern Style: Fashions from the mid-20th century and More than Planes: Aviation in Cobb County.
