MARIETTA – The Marietta Fire Department is excited to announce that Santa has kindly agreed to help them promote and educate our City’s children about fire safety!
As local Mariettans know, the Marietta Fire Department has always been one of Santa’s most steadfast and dependable helpers, after all, these fine men and women drive Santa up to the Marietta Square each year on an antique fire truck. Because Santa is a real team player, he has graciously agreed to help our Fire Department. If you and your children live within Marietta City limits, Santa will mail your children a letter from the jolly old man himself reminding children to be nice to one another and will also include a friendly fire safety tip!
This is where the Marietta Fire Department comes in, Santa will then give his letters to our firefighters and they will mail them out to the kids and include a little bit more information about some wonderful and helpful tips relating to fire prevention.
If your home address is within Marietta’s City limits, then please email the City’s Communications Manager, Lindsey Wiles at lwiles@mariettaga.gov by Thursday, December 14, 2017. Please include the name of each child at that residence, their age and the City of Marietta address.
