The next Marietta Police Department Firearm Safety Seminar is scheduled for Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at 6:30pm. This free seminar is conducted twice a year and is designed to educate Georgia residents on a variety of topics to include gun safety, being a responsible weapon owner, weapon laws, details about gun permits, and alternative weapon usage (pepper spray, civilian model stun guns, etc.).
Do you wonder what you can/can’t do with or without a Georgia Weapons Carry Permit?
When is it reasonable to use a weapon in self-defense while at home, in your car, or in public?
This is your chance to hear safety tips regarding owning, transporting and using guns and other weapons for self-defense. Whether you have owned guns for years, or are considering buying a gun for personal protection, you will benefit from this training.
The seminar will be held in the City Hall Council Chambers on Tuesday night, December 12 from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM. Seating is limited and can be reserved by following this link: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/mpd-semiannual-gun-safety-seminar-tickets-39445223726
This seminar is lecture-based only and citizens are not required to bring anything. Information packets will be provided to attendees. The seminar is open to all ages and is approximately three hours in length. There will be no weapon handling or “hands-on training” in this seminar.
