The City of Marietta, Marietta Power and Water, and Marietta Municipal Court's administrative offices will be closed due to Hurricane Irma on Monday, September 11, 2017.
Additionally, all sanitation services will be suspended on Monday, September 11, 2017. The landfills that take our trash have notified us they will be canceled tomorrow so our crews will have no where to take the trash. We kindly ask that if you are able, please secure your trash so that it does not spread in the potential high winds. Also this means our trash service will now operate on a holiday schedule and yard waste service will be suspended for the week.
The BLW Board meeting and City Council meetings scheduled for tomorrow have also changed. The BLW meeting has been moved to Wednesday, September 13th at 11:30am and the City Council Agenda Work Session on Monday, September 11 has been canceled.
We will monitor the weather tomorrow and make a call as early as possible for any closures on Tuesday, September 12, 2017.
