Celebrate July 4th with the City of Marietta on the Square

MARIETTA – The City of Marietta cordially invites the public to celebrate Independence Day on Tuesday, July 4 from 10am - 10pm, beginning with the Let Freedom Ring Parade at 10am followed by a celebration on the Square, free concerts, arts and crafts show, food, carnival games and a fireworks finale.

The Let Freedom Ring Parade will include about 85 entries and approximately 2,000 participants.  The parade will begin at 10am at Roswell Street Baptist Church, and travel west on Roswell Street, north on East Park Square past Glover Park and the Square, down Cherokee Street and end at North Marietta Parkway.

There will be temporary road closures during the parade including: Roswell Street west of Cobb Parkway and all streets it crosses will be closed for the parade from 9:15am until the parade ends around 12:15pm North, South, East and West Park Square around the Square will be closed the entire day for the festival.

Crafts, food and carnival

  • Arts and crafts show with 90 vendors: 10am - 9pm
  • Food concessions: 10am - 9pm – many restaurants on the Square will be open, check with each for hours.
  • Carnival games: 10am - 9pm; tickets for games available at booths located throughout the park

2:15pm – Awards Ceremony

7pm – Backyard Country Artist Caryn Womack

8pm – Sons of Sailors

The fireworks display is scheduled to begin at 9:30pm and will be shot from the First United Methodist Church parking lot. 94.9 The Bull will broadcast patriotic music during the fireworks.  Please follow the City of Marietta’s official Facebook page for any updates on the parade or fireworks due to any inclement weather.
