MARIETTA – The Marietta Parks and Recreation Department is pleased to announce its newest summer program, the Swift Kids Running Club, which is a seven-week running program designed for children and held at Tumlin Park. The program will run from June 20 – August 5 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30pm – 7:30pm.
The Swift Kids Running Club serves as a 5K training program to empower children with the knowledge they need to make smart lifestyle choices. Participants will enjoy time outside playing games, doing drills, and running on the track all the while learning that health and fitness can be easy, fun and rewarding.
Children must be between the ages of 5-13 years old to participate in this program which will be held at Tumlin Park located at 400 Chestnut Hill Rd SW, Marietta, GA 30064. The cost of the seven-week program is $35 for City residents and $50 for non-residents.
The class will culminate with the running of the Hero Run on Saturday August 5, 2017. The race application fee is included with your registration fee. To register online, please visit the website.
