MARIETTA - The Marietta Museum of History is pleased to continue its Pop-In for Pop Culture series on Tuesday, June 13th from 10:30am to 8pm. This month we will be changing up our Pop-In routine by making this an all-day STEAM based event. STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics) is an educational phenomenon with the goal to excite young people about various sciences. Coming from the idea of a STEM education, the “A” in STEAM brings art into play. Art allows the creator to explore innovative ways to make their technology more user-friendly, seamless, and appealing. Without the artistic process, our strides in technology would be much less progressive.
Pop-In for Pop Culture is a yearlong program, created by the Museum to allow visitors to explore the Museum in a whole new way! Admission to the Museum will be $5 per person for the day with a $20 maximum for families and FREE to Museum members. Memberships are available for purchase and start at $40.
The Museum uses ordinary objects to tell the extraordinary stories of Marietta and Cobb County and is the top-rated Museum and one of the Top Five things to do in Marietta on TripAdvisor. Galleries and exhibits cover topics such as military history, home life throughout the centuries, technology and local businesses from our past. Current temporary exhibits include: Shoppin’ Southern Style: Fashions from the mid-20th century and More than Planes: Aviation in Cobb County.
