Marietta Police Athletic / Activities League (PAL)
The Hugh L. Grogan Jr. Community Center (formerly Lawrence Street Recreation Center) is being operated by the
Marietta Police Athletic/Activities League (PAL). Marietta PAL is a 501 (c)(3) organization whose mission is to prevent juvenile crime and violence by providing civic, athletic, recreational and educational opportunities which create trust and build understanding between law enforcement and youth.
Marietta PAL offers a variety of activities for enrolled youth ages 5-18 to enjoy Monday through Friday from 4 - 6 p.m. Daily activities include health and fitness, interactive games and a rotation through a variety of introductory sports clinics.
Enroll
To enroll in the PAL program, parents can complete the PAL application available at the Hugh L. Grogan Jr. Community Center, Monday through Thursday from 4 - 6p.m. The program cost is free to income eligible participants and only $50 per program session (January through May and August through December) to those who do not qualify for free programming.
Marital Arts Classes
Marietta PAL offers introduction to Martial Arts classes Mondays and Wednesdays from 6 - 8 p.m. Registration is $50 per child per program session (January through May and August through December). Additional fees for uniforms and other expenses may apply. Please call for more information.
Boxing Classes
Marietta PAL offers introduction to Boxing classes Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 - 8 p.m. Registration is $50 per child per program session (January through May and August through December). Additional fees for uniforms, equipment and other expenses may apply. Please call for more information.
