Capital Improvement Program

Marietta Water is responsible for a water distribution and wastewater collection infrastructure with a value of more than $600,000,000.  Using its capital improvement program (CIP), Marietta Water plans future improvements in order to keep the water and wastewater system operating  properly and efficiently.

Capital Improvement Projects Under Construction

Water Projects

  • FY 21 Indian Trail Water System Improvements (Sewell Ln, Indian Trail, Hunting Creek Ct, Worthington Dr, Church Street)
  • Sugar Hill Tank Replacement
    • New 750,000 gallon elevated water storage tank to replace existing tank on Sugar Hill Drive

Sanitary Sewer Projects

  • Maxwell Avenue Sewer Relocation (Maxwell Avenue, Northcutt Street, Rambo Place)
    • Short road/lane closures are expected on Rambo Street in front of 147 & 155 Rambo Place as well as on Maxwell Avenue between Northcutt Street and Rambo Place. These road/lane closures will not take place concurrently which will allow for quick detours for which signs will be placed.
    • The general contractor for this project is GS Construction. The consulting engineering firm is Barge Design Solutions. Please do not be alarmed if you see representatives from either of these entities.
