The City of Marietta receives Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Community Development (HUD) annually. The Housing and Community Development Division administers the funds in joint cooperation with the Cobb County CDBG Program Office.
The City uses its funds to support activities which stabilize and strengthen older neighborhoods, provides safe and healthy services for children and youth, and promotes a safe, healthy and prosperous community.

Financial support to non-profit agencies that provide educational, recreational and safety services to low-to-moderate income children of Marietta
Replacement of deteriorated playground equipment for City-owned parks located in neighborhoods of 51% low-to-moderate households
All funds are limited to Marietta homeowners and residents whose total household income is at or below the current federal Income Limit of 80% for Cobb County.
