Photo Red-Light Violations

These violations are enforced through photo equipment and are different from other traffic violations as they have no impact on driving record or insurance.
  • Payment of this civil penalty will not become part of a person's driving record, are not used by insurance companies in calculating motor vehicle insurance premiums, and do not result in criminal conviction.
  • Notice of violation is mailed to the registered owner of the vehicle that allegedly failed to stop or crossed white stop line on road and entered intersection after light turned red.
  • Maximum penalty for violation is $70. Late fees of $25 will be imposed every 30 days that fine remains unpaid, up to $100 in late fees. Unpaid violations may be transferred to collection agency or reported to credit bureaus.

  • View video evidence of violation
  • File an Affidavit of Non-Responsibility naming the driver/vehicle stolen prior to violation/not registered owner at time of violation and dispute violation
