Funding
Cobb County residents approved a referendum for a one-cent sales tax in November 2022. Additional funding will be collected using a special purpose local option sales tax (SPLOST) (one percent) between January 2023 and December 2028. The money raised from the sales tax will be used to fund transportation improvement projects in the city of Marietta and Cobb County.
The 2016 SPLOST expired December 2022 with only 1 project incomplete.
