Purpose of Team
The purpose of Marietta's SWAT Medic Program, also known as the Tactical Emergency Medical Support (TEMS) team is to provide emergency care to officers, bystanders, and suspects without having to wait on a unit staged at a distant location. The medics are trained as SWAT Operators and work as members of the perimeter team.
Training Drills
It is critical that the members of Marietta's Police and Fire Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team participate in frequent drills that allow individuals to hone their skills.
