The Powder Springs Streetscape will continue the streetscape improvements beginning at Sandtown Road and continuing to the South Loop. The project will feature landscaped medians, a multi-use trail, sidewalks, trees, decorative lighting, resurfacing, and fresh striping. The project will also move overhead utilities such as power and telecommunications to underground duct banks allowing utility poles to be removed. The project will continue to increase the multi-use trail system in the City by connecting people to the recently completed Cemetery St Trail which feeds into the Mountain to River (M2R) trail featuring a pedestrian bridge across South Marietta Pkwy.

The project is currently in Right of Way acquisition and Utility Relocation. The project will be advertised in 2019 with construction anticipated to be completed between late 2020 and early 2021.
