2009 historic Christmas tour homes announced

The 23rd annual Marietta Pilgrimage Christmas Home Tour offers a variety of historic treasures in the Church Street-Cherokee Street District.  The Tour will be held December 5-6. 

The Marietta Pilgrimage Christmas Home tour, named a "Top Twenty Event in the Southeast" by the Southeast Tourism Society and a "Top 100 Event in North America" by the American Bus Association, has announced the homes to be spotlighted on its 2009 Tour.

This year's featured houses 

  • Jones-Pace-Schupp House, c. 1905
  • Welsh-Lyle House, c. 1900
  • Fields-Northcutt-Granger House, c. 1901
  • Black-Greer-Lee House, c. 1900
  • Adrian Cortelyou-Pressley House, c. 1890 

Fourteen historic public buildings and the Merry Olde Marietta Tea Room will also be featured on the tour.

Tickets to the Pilgrimage are available for purchase online or at the Marietta Welcome Center, 4 Depot Street.

The Marietta Pilgrimage Christmas Home Tour is sponsored by Marietta Welcome Center & Visitors Bureau and Cobb Landmarks & Historical Society.

The Tour helps promote Marietta as a tourist destination, a goal City Council established as part of the city's vision statement.
