Marietta receives $3 million for streetscape, traffic improvements

Marietta employee saves city taxpayers $334,000

Feds support nuclear power expansion, Marietta investment
President Obama announced $8 billion in loan guarantees to build the first new nuclear reactors in the United States in nearly 30 years. The city of Marietta will invest about $405 million over a 40-year period for the expansion of Plant Vogtle, allowing the city to have cleaner energy and base power for decades to come. Read more
