Capital Improvement Program

Age of InfrastructureMarietta Water is responsible for a water distribution and wastewater collection infrastructure with a value over $600,000,000.

Marietta water uses its Capital Improvement Program (CIP) to plan for future improvements needed to keep the system operating in an efficient manor. This program is funded at around $7,000,000 per year.

Our goal is to replace or rehabilitate aging infrastructure before becomes too costly to operate. At this time over 70% of our infrastructure is less than 40 years old.
