Security Deposits
Although most of our service area includes Electric and Water service, some locations are only served Electric and some are only served Water.
Power & Water Service

Commercial Accounts

Security deposits on residential accounts will be refunded upon request after 12 months of service if a good payment record has been maintained. A residential security deposit can be avoided if you have previously had electric service with Marietta Power within the past year and maintained a good credit rating for at least 12 months. Deposits may be less if you authorize Marietta Power to access your credit information and the report is favorable.
Commercial deposits are refundable upon request and 5 years of satisfactory payment history; however, interest is paid yearly.
Charges
For new accounts or service transfers, you will be required to pay an $25.00 service charge which will be included on your first utility bill. Based on the type of service requested a security deposit may be required.
