Digging Safely

811Know what's below. Call before you dig, every project, every time.
Dial 811 or 800-282-7411.

Risky assumptions about whether or not to have utility lines marked can be dangerous. It is a good idea when digging to call before you begin your project - even small projects like planting trees and shrubs.

The depth of utility lines varies and there may be multiple utility lines in a common area. The call and the service are free!

CautionDigging without calling can disrupt service to an entire neighborhood, harm you and those around you and potentially result in fines and repair costs. Calling 811 before every digging job gets your underground utility lines marked for free and helps prevent undesired consequences.

In the state of Georgia, if you plan to dig with mechanized equipment, it is the law to "Call Before You Dig." Please make the smart choice and call at least two business days before you begin any type of digging.
