Arthur Vaughn was appointed as a citizen member of the Marietta Board of Lights and Water on January 8, 2003. Mr. Vaughn is currently employed as the Controller at Southern Polytechnic State Universiy. Mr. Vaughn holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University, Syracuse, New York; and a Master of Public Administration Degree with a concentration in Finance from Clark Atlanta University, Atlanta, Georgia.
Arthur's community involvement includes membership in the Marietta Kiwanis Club and serving on the board of directors for Marietta Tree Keepers, IMPACT and the Cobb Leadership Council of the American Cancer Society. His past service includes board service with the United Way of Cobb County, the Cobb Community Collaborative, the George Washington Carver Boys Girls Club, Hands On Atlanta, and Communities in Schools Marietta/Cobb.
