Return to Board members
After serving as a citizen member on our Board of Directors from April 2003 until April 2004, Bob Lewis joined our ranks as the General Manager for the Marietta Board of Lights & Water on June 7, 2004.
Mr. Lewis has over 30 years experience in the energy business, having worked with the Mirant Corporation, Southern Energy and Georgia Power Company in Atlanta where he served in numerous management and executive capacities, including Director of External Affairs, Project Director, Marketing Manager and General Manager. He comes to this position with extensive experience in both regulated and unregulated energy companies.
A Marietta native, he received his Bachelor and Masters of Business Administration from Georgia State University and is a member of the Georgia State University Alumni Association.
Mr. Lewis is a graduate of Leadership Cobb and is a member of the Marietta Rotary Club, Cobb Chamber of Commerce, and the First United Methodist Church. He was elected to the Board of Directors of the Municipal Electric Authority of Georgia (MEAG) for a second three-year term beginning in July 2008. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Tommy Nobis Center and the Center for Family Resources.
He and his wife Laura, a media specialist at West Side Elementary School, reside in Marietta. They have two grown daughters - Mary Leslie and Sarah.
